There were a lot of rumors surrounding official Google Pixel Tablet accessories, particularly a stylus and keyboard, during launch itself. However, it arrived without the anticipated accessories, leaving users to search for third-party solutions.

Relaunch and refresh

According to @MysteryLupin, Google may be planning a “relaunch” of the Pixel Tablet. This relaunch could see the removal of the docking stand, potentially lowering the tablet’s price point. Crucially, this relaunch would coincide with the long-awaited introduction of the official stylus and keyboard accessories.

We also discovered a pencil-like shape (potentially stylus) in the Google I/O 2024 teaser. This makes us question if the Pixel Fold 2 or Pixel Tablet 2 will have stylus support.

Pricing and color options

The leak sheds light on potential pricing as well. @MysteryLupin suggests each accessory will be priced “around €100 ($107)” and available in colors matching the existing Pixel Tablet lineup: Hazel (dark green) and Porcelain (white/beige). Interestingly, the leak indicates that Google may not offer a bundled package for the accessories. However, the relaunched tablet itself could see a retail price of €600 ($642) without the dock.

A tentative timeline for the launch of Google Pixel Tablet accessories

It is important to acknowledge that leaks, while valuable, can sometimes be inaccurate, and plans can always change on the manufacturer’s side. Fortunately, a definitive answer may be forthcoming sooner rather than later. Google I/O is going to be held on May 14, and it serves as a prime venue for Google to unveil new hardware.

The wait for official Pixel Tablet accessories has been a long one. However, thanks to this latest leak, those who have held out for a Google-designed solution may finally have reason to celebrate. Google I/O could be the stage where these long-rumored accessories are finally introduced.
