Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 28, 2023) follows:

Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the highly anticipated latest game in the Star Wars saga, is finally becoming available for those players who pre-downloaded it.

However, the first few hours have been bumpy due to a few issues. For instance, some have to wait hours while the game is ‘Unpacking’, and it is crashing for others when trying to start.

Meanwhile, those players who have been able to access it on consoles found that HDR is broken, plus the achievements are not working.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor ‘HDR broken’ on PS5, but there is a workaround

Multiple reports indicate that Star Wars Jedi Survivor ‘HDR’ is currently broken, which causes distorted images due to the combination of extremely dark shadows and overly bright highlights (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

The ‘broken HDR’ issue seems to be affecting the PS5 version mostly:

@EAStarWars Seems like the HDR support of the game is broken on PS5. Will tomorrow’s patch fix that?

@EAStarWars hey, Jedi survivor is unwatchable unplayable in HDR on ps5 .I mean it’s horrendous!!. is there a fix coming?
Source

As it stands, the game is unplayable if you have HDR enabled on PS5. After all, you won’t even be able to make out what’s happening on the screen.

Fortunately, there is a potential workaround as you wait for an official fix. Basically, you have to go to PS5 HDR settings and increase all the values to the maximum on all 3 pages, as the video below shows:

Of course, the other alternative is to disable the HDR option in the Jedi Survivor graphics settings. However, by doing this you will also sacrifice image quality.

Achievements not working or throws ‘not supported’ on Xbox

Other Star Wars Jedi Survivor players have also found that Achievements are not working correctly. Apparently, they are getting an ‘achievements not supported’ error message when trying to check them.

In this case, Xbox players seem to be the most affected (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Well it doesn’t even show on #Xbox    I’m playing the game . I really don’t GAF I’m not wasting my time playing to have to replay to get achievements owed to me. Doesn’t even show achievements list like it does in every other game

It is on my profile but it saying achievements not supported. Good thing you brought this up. Weird bug. 🤔

There is no workaround for this bug yet, so affected players can only wait for a fix to arrive. There is still no official word from the Jedi Survivor developers on any of the issues.

We will be monitoring the situation to update this story as events unfold.

Update 1 (April 28, 2023)

06:03 pm (IST): One of our readers has offered a potential workaround for the issue where achievements are not working. You can check it out below:

Save game. Close it all the way out. Shut off XBOX for 60 seconds. Turn back on and achievements showed up. For me it worked. Im on XBOX Series S
