Spotify is without a doubt one of the largest music streaming services on the planet, competing with the likes of Amazon Music and Apple Music.

With an ever-growing library of more than 70 million songs, Spotify is the only music streaming service that operates in more than 170 countries spread across the globe with more than 345 million monthly active users.

However, owing to the online-only nature of the platform, some bugs do make their way through and break functionality or two. Unsurprisingly, a new bug is affecting Spotify subscribers preventing them from sharing lyrics.

Some say that they can see the lyrics just fine, but the share button has completely disappeared for them. Many are wondering if Spotify removed it without any warning or if it is a bug.

Spotify users have tried generic resolutions such as clearing data, cache, and reinstalling the app but nothing fixes the lyrics sharing function. It is interesting to note that the lyrics sharing feature was introduced just last week.

Having said that, we will keep an eye out on the matter and update this space as and when required. In the meantime, those affected have no choice but to wait for Spotify to fix the issue.
