The concept of the ‘Eat the Playlist’ game on Spotify revolves around the familiar mechanics of the classic Snake game, which has been a staple in the world of video games for decades.

Players in the classic Snake game guide a snake-like creature around the screen, encouraging it to devour items and grow longer. The challenge is to avoid colliding with the snake’s own body or the playing field’s limits.

Spotify has taken this concept and injected it with a creative twist. Instead of controlling a snake, players now assume the role of a character that devours playlists to increase its size.

The playlists serve as the edible objects in the game, replacing the conventional food items typically found in Snake. As the player navigates through the game, they aim to consume as many playlists as possible.
