If you are someone who loves to listen to their favorite music on the go, you must have heard about Spotify. Available in 184 countries, the music streaming service is used by millions worldwide.

That said, Spotify also creates a personalized playlist depending on your music taste that is full of newly released and popular songs called Discover Weekly.

But in the last few weeks, users have been complaining that the playlist was not playing or loading for them.

Adding to the trouble, Spotify subscribers are now reporting that they are seeing the same songs in the Discover Weekly playlist (1,2,3,4,5). Many are frustrated and wondering why their recommendations were not refreshing.

Some even tried re-logging into their Spotify accounts, reinstalling the app, and restarting their devices but nothing seems to help fix the issue.

Here are a few reports from Spotify who are tired of seeing the same songs as last week in their Discover Weekly playlist.

Hi, did someone had situation where his discover weekly songs did not update ( i mean in playlist there is info that songs has been added 8h ago, so actually looks like its “updated” but there is no single song that is diffrent and more that these songs are in same order.

Hey guys, so I always check my spotify weekly every Sunday night when it hits at midnight to check out new songs and such. Usually takes a moment to refresh but tonight it’s just not refreshing at all and I’m wondering if any of yall are having the same issue??? I checked on spotify support and it said for me to log out and log back in several times. Did that and I’m getting so impatient and frustrated rn lol I’d appreciate if yall know what’s up!

As it turns out, Spotify developers are aware of the fact that the Discover Weekly features the same songs as last week and said the problem is currently under investigation.

We hope the developers fix it at the earliest so subscribers can listen to new songs once again. When they do, we will be updating this space to reflect the same so make sure you stay tuned.
