Spotify app 'playlist creators' not showing on iOS after latest update, issue under investigation

Spotify users have lately been encountering an issue where the ‘playlist creators’ are not showing on the iOS app after the latest update.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), numerous people are unable to view the creator of a playlist on their phones. Instead of the expected display, a disconcerting void now occupies that space.

As per the allegations, one cannot see the creators of the searched or saved playlists. And the situation remains the same even if they browse personalized playlists like the Daylist.

Of course, it has now become difficult to tell if they have stumbled upon an official playlist or one created by a Spotify user. However, it seems that the information becomes visible as soon as users press the share button.

But understandably, it can be quite aggravating to repeatedly make additional taps just to find out the playlist creator’s name.

Some complain that the developers occasionally end up making the app worse than before with new updates. They are also disappointed to find out that an issue that could have been swiftly fixed remains persistent until now.

And what is more saddening is that one cannot get rid of the problem even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

This is certainly bad news for those who cannot see their friends’ individual profiles in various collaborative playlists.

This is also quite upsetting for those who are experiencing difficulties discovering playlists curated by the same person. A section of users is also having troubles while loading the lyrics for tracks.

People are unable to understand the rationale behind altering features that were perfectly fine in the first place. Users are now requesting the developers to address this concern as soon as possible.

The Spotify support staff is aware of the issue, and it is currently being looked into. Although an official ETA for the bug fix has not been given.
