Ever since its launch on consoles, Splitgate has gained massive popularity and experience a dramatic surge in its player base.

Since July, the Splitgate player base has risen to almost 70K, according to Steamcharts. The game is developed by a team of Nevada-based developers called 1047 Games.

Inspired by Valve’s Portal and with HALO-like combat, Splitgate is a fast-paced first-person multiplayer shooting game that takes a fresh approach to the FPS genre.

Having said that, the game has had its fair share of bugs and glitches such as the recent Splitgate low-resolution bug on consoles and the missing Season 0 Battle Pass rewards issue.

Now a new bug is haunting Splitgate players which causes them to get banned temporarily with some players getting kicked out of the game for no reason whatsoever.

Players are reporting that the game is banning or kicking out them without any explanation. Yes, you heard it right. User reports indicate that gamers are getting banned temporarily or kicked out of the game randomly.

Am sure most of you have realised that there is a massive ban wave mostly on pc as I can see, loads of people have been complaining over discord servers and this Reddit (including myself),

So I think everyone just needs to chill out and calm down am sure the devs are working on a fix and will unban all of us, if not then welp it was a good run. Still, though I see a lot of new people getting banned under 1-hour of playtime, have to say this isn’t looking good for first impressions, but I love this game and I hate seeing it like this.

I got the game recently and have played 8 hours. During that time I’ve got all my ranked matches to gold 3 or 4. I’ve also got lvl 24 I joined a ranked game and at the start it kicked me for “suspicious behaviour” when I rejoined it did it again. So i turned it off and on and now I’m banned for 10 mins. Did I do something? And should I be concerned

The game says that the players are banned for ‘Suspicious Activity.’ Initially, users thought that software or a tool must be interfering with the game’s cheat detection system but the number of users complaining about the issue suggests otherwise.

Upon further investigation, it looks like the servers are bugged right now and the game is banning and kicking players left and right.

Fortunately, Splitgate developers have acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix that is causing the massive ban wave.

The developers at 1047 are really good when it comes to acknowledging and fixing related issues to Splitgate, so it won’t be long before players stop getting banned or kicked due to Suspicious Activity for no reason.

We will update this space once the issue is fixed so keep an eye on this space.
