Splitgate low resolution (blurred textures) bug on consoles acknowledged

Splitgate is a multiplayer FPS (first-person shooter) game which is inspired by the likes of Halo and Portal series.

The game is yet to be released but its early access version is currently available for platforms including PS5, PS4, and Xbox.

However, those playing Splitgate on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have been facing an issue which is spoiling their experience.

As per multiple reports, PS5 and PS4 users are facing a bug where the textures in Splitgate appear to be blurred on these consoles due to low resolution.

Since the game is still under development, it is natural for such bugs to occur. However, affected PS4 and PS5 users outline that Splitgate runs relatively better on Xbox.

Hello, I know game is in beta, but I don’t know how hard it is to just increase the resolution for PS5. Since everything is there for PC already it shouldn’t be that hard. If the game ran at 1080p at least, but 720p is killing me. I think even PS4 Pro can do better than 720p. Well game is really fun and have been loving it since the Alpha, keep it up!

This clearly suggests that the problem with low resolution in Splitgate might indeed be a bug specific to PS4 and PS5.

The bug is inconveniencing players as they are enjoying the game but are unable to play it properly because of the blurry texture quality.

However, Splitgate support has acknowledged this issue stating that they are aware of it and are working to fix the same.

Thus affected console players may not have to dwell with this problem for long as a fix might arrive in the near future.

This, however, is still based on speculation as Splitgate support has not provided any ETA for a fix.

Hopefully, the game developer and publisher, 1047 Games, fixes this problem soon so that console players can enjoy Splitgate without any hassle.
