In a recent turn of events, Spectrum users found themselves at the center of a brewing storm when several channels went missing following the recent deal with Disney.

Spectrum users previously had to deal with blackouts of certain channels because of a disagreement between the firm and the Disney network. This affected popular networks such as ESPN and various Disney-owned channels.

While it’s surely good news, but not all previously lost channels will be making a return. This outcome has left several users even more disgruntled (1,2,3,4,5,6), leading to the initiation of a petition and widespread discontent.

One of the major points of contention among Spectrum users is the absence of popular channels such as Baby TV, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform, FXM, FXX, Nat Geo Wild, and Nat Geo Mundo.

There are several concessions included in the new agreement possibly aimed at pacifying subscribers. Customers will now be able to order Disney+, Hulu, or The Disney Bundle straight through Charter.

Moreover, those who opt for Spectrum TV Select Plus will have the basic version of Disney+ included in their package.

Despite that, Spectrum subscribers remain dissatisfied. They argue that they initially contracted under different conditions and are now paying for a service that does not meet their expectations.

Demand for refund

Amid the frustration, there is a glimmer of hope for subscribers. The Spectrum team has decided to compensate users for the days they were without access to their favorite channels.
