XDefiant is a newly released FPS game developed by Ubisoft that has been generating a lot of buzz among gamers ever since it was released. However, the game is currently in the beta stage.

And those who are trying the beta version have come across various issues such as crashing, freezing, controller settings stuck on ‘Keyboard & mouse’ and more.

Having said that, XDefiant currently lacks the Killcam feature that allows players to view a brief replay of their own demise from the perspective of their opponent after they are eliminated in the game.

Ubisoft has already confirmed that they’ll be adding Killcam feature to the game. However, it was announced that the feature will be implemented post-launch.

Some XDefiant players are against ‘Killcam’ feature

After the official confirmation, some players have expressed their opposition to the feature. Gamers are against adding this feature due to multiple reasons.

I think they won’t add killcams because after you die you can revive after a second so they would have to be very short. Either you would skip them e.g. F (as revival) if you don’t want to see someone kill you or you would watch but you would lose a few seconds in which you could already run in. (Source)

“We absolutely need kill cams and death comes in the full game” If the killcam shows me EXACTLY what happened then yes, but if it’s a recreation then no. No point if the information shown is incorrect. (Source)

Some players believe that the Killcam feature is just a waste of time and they don’t want it. They would rather start a new game. For others, they think that the feature is not accurate.

Moreover, some believe that there’s no need for this feature as players revive in just a second after death, so there’s no time to watch them. And even if they add the feature, it would be very short.

However, there’s a section of gamers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) who want the Killcam feature in the game and are eagerly waiting for it. These players think that it would help them understand the game.

That said, XDefiant players have mixed opinions on the addition of the Killcam feature. However, the feature already seems to be in development and is expected to arrive post-launch.
