Being one of the most popular social media and social networking services, Twitter remains in the news every now and then.

The networking platform recently launched the Twitter Blue subscription service, with which users have been experiencing some issues.

The blue checkmark is displayed on a Twitter profile if an account was verified under Twitter’s verification criteria or if the account holder has an active, paid subscription to Twitter Blue.

The badge helps one secure their personal or their business identity on the platform. Subscribers are also entitled to some privileges such as priority in replies, mentions, and searches.

However, currently things don’t look so good for some of them.

Some Twitter Blue users not getting verified badge or checkmark

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple users are facing an issue where the verified badge or checkmark does not appear on their profile.

Some claim that even after having fulfilled the criteria and fully paid the subscription amount, they are yet to receive the verification badge.

Users (1,2,3,4,5) also complain that even after having waited for more than a week, their accounts remain unchanged.

Another platform user also expressed his concern in this regard, as their subscription was about to expire, but the issue remained unresolved.

I subscribed over a week ago. I do have my blue checkmark but do not have the ability to post videos longer that 2 mins and 20 seconds yet. Could not find the area on
@TwitterSupport to post the question. I did receive my receipt from Twitter biling next day!

@elonmusk I submitted a request to @TwitterSupport asking what happened to my blue checkmark. They replied it took 7 days for a new account to be approved. I replied that I am not a new account and to take my $8. I haven’t heard anything since. @Twitter @TwitterSupport

The subscribers feel sad and disappointed because of this problem. Some have even questioned the need for the newly paid subscription model since they don’t find it useful.

No official response

Unfortunately, Twitter has not yet officially acknowledged the issue. Furthermore, there appears to be no workaround for the same. So, it looks like users might have to wait for a while before the issues get resolved.

That said, we’ll keep an eye on the issue with some Twitter Blue users not getting the verified badge or checkmark and update this article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
