A number of Twitter users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) have been reporting an issue for a long time now that their accounts are getting shadowbanned for no apparent reason.
When an account on Twitter is shadowbanned, it usually comes at an expense. Some of the consequences involve losing the ability to appear in search suggestions to getting your tweets hidden from search results.
It even hides a user’s reply from tweets as well as their replies on threads. And this has seemingly been affecting users for a long time.

Although a section of users is getting ghost banned, there are some 3rd-party sites that can help you ascertain the potential reason for the same, among them hisubway.online, shadowban.yuzurisa.com, and taishin-miyamoto.com.
Tips to prevent shadownbanning
It appears that new accounts are more susceptible to getting shadowbanned on Twitter. So below is a list of tips that can help you against getting ghost banned.
Even though Elon Musk stated last year that they are developing software that will indicate if you have been shadowbanned explaining why, and how to appeal, we haven’t encountered anything similar.
Unfortunately, Twitter hasn’t responded to any of the widespread reports of various accounts getting shadowbanned. It’ll be interesting to note the platform’s next course of action in lieu of this issue.
