New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on February 28, 2023) follows:

Spotify contracted the AI fever on February 22, 2023, when they announced the launch of a new AI DJ service.

It is accessible as a beta option on the Spotify mobile app, but exclusively for Spotify Premium subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Spotify users unable to access new AI DJ

The feature is the outcome of Spotify’s acquisition of the AI voice service Sonantic back in 2022.

However, some Spotify users are reporting an issue where they are unable to access the new AI DJ even though they have a premium subscription (1,2,3,4,5,6).

It’s been over a week since Spotify announced this feature, so listeners anticipated it to be available on their devices right away but that hasn’t been the case.

AI DJ will play the most recent songs as well as some of your old favorites and may even play a song that you haven’t heard in years.

As a result, everyone is excited about this new feature and wants to test it for themselves. This desire to have the AI DJ has been heightened by the positive reception it has received in its early stages.

so mad i don’t have the spotify ai dj yet. I’m sure I’ll hate it but I still want to play around with it

But according to Spotify, the reason for its unavailability is due to a gradual rollout, which implies that this feature will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.

1. Make sure your Spotify app is up to date: The AI DJ feature is only available on the latest version of the Spotify app, so check if you have any pending app updates and install them.
2. Check if the feature is enabled on your account: Make sure that the AI DJ feature is enabled on your account. Go to your account settings, select “Playback,” and make sure that the “AI DJ” toggle is turned on.
3. Try logging out and logging back in: Sometimes logging out and logging back into your Spotify account can help refresh your account settings and access new features.
