The Google Play Store offers a vast and diverse selection of apps, books, movies, games, and other forms of media. It is a safe, secure, and convenient way to get the content you want.

However, like any other platform, Google Play Store also has its fair share of bugs and issues. Now, some are unable to complete transactions and access the desired content.

Google Play Store users unable to purchase items

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple users are experiencing difficulties purchasing various items from the Google Play Store.

It has been alleged that one gets an ‘Your transaction can’t be completed’ error message when trying to do so.

Notably, some are being asked to secure their account before proceeding with the payment, use a different payment instrument, or contact the support team.

Interestingly, a section of users are being asked to submit the required documents before moving ahead with the purchase. Apparently, they can do so by completing a form.

One of those impacted says that they are unable to purchase the new season pass for Marvel Snap. They are facing this problem even with sufficient balance in their account.

Another Google Play user alleges to be getting ‘Your transaction can’t be completed’ error when trying to purchase books from the Store.

@GooglePlay I’ve been subscribing for google one for 6 months already and this is the first time that my payment was declined, my gcash app works so fine and i also have enough balance.

Some assert that Google Play keeps rejecting their payment method when trying to pay for their Google One subscription. The issue has been persistent for the past few weeks and remains unresolved until now.

Those impacted are now requesting the developers to resolve this issue as soon as possible so that they can purchase the content they like without any hiccups.

No official acknowledgment

Unfortunately, Google has not officially acknowledged this issue and has only recommended generic troubleshooting steps, which have been of no use to those affected.

But rest assured, we will keep an eye on the issue where Google Play Store users are unable to purchase different items and instead are get ‘Your transaction can’t be completed’ error and update you.

Update 2 (June 26, 2023)

12:29 pm (IST): Some users are still reporting (1, 2, 3, 4) that they are getting ‘Your transaction cannot be completed’ error.

However, there’s a potential workaround that might help you fix this glitch. You can check it out below.

When I had this issue a month or so ago, it was solved by performing the payment while on a mobile network instead of Wifi. Not sure if this will solve it for you, but it’s worth a try. (Source)
