Discord users unable to mute or adjust Bots volume
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Discord users are facing an issue where they are unable to mute or adjust the volume of bots. They claim that the control panel to change the volume isn’t in the app settings.
However, the panel to control volume for users in a voice chat appears as usual. This is undeniably quite annoying for those unable to stop the bot from playing music in a voice chat.
Some are even confused whether the change has been made intentionally by the company or is a glitch. As per the claims, the issue affects only mobile app users and has been persistent for the past few weeks.
One of those affected says that it has become very difficult to hear other people’s voices since the bot plays audio at a very high level. They also mention that they are unable to modify the bot’s volume from its profile.
Another person claims to have pressed and held every part of the bot to be able to access the volume panel, but all in vain. And understandably, people have taken to web forums to complain about the same.

Those affected have tried tinkering with various settings and restarting, uninstalling, and reinstalling the app, but to no effect. They are now requesting the developers to address this concern as soon as possible.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, Discord has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently working on fixing it. Although no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.
We are hopeful that Discord will resolve this problem shortly.
