Snapchat won’t install or update via Play Store

Many users have complained (1, 2) that they are unable to find the app on Play Store and get a message saying ‘This app won’t work on your device’.

Moreover, some users also reported (1, 2, 3) that they are getting an error message that says ‘Your device isn’t compatible with this version’.

It appears that this issue is caused by the recent Play Store update as a user has managed to fix it by simply uninstalling Play Store updates.

Hence, you can also try this as a potential workaround and see if it fixes the issue. If not, then you’ll have to wait until the devs come up with a definitive fix.

Fortunately, Google didn’t take too long to acknowledge this issue. A product expert on the Google community has confirmed that they are investigating this problem. However, they didn’t provide any ETA for the fix.
