Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

Some iPhone 15 users or owners of older iPhones who recently updated to iOS 17 are reporting UI glitch and camera quality issues with Snapchat.

Ever since iPhone 15 models got into the hands of early adopters, initial issues on these devices have started surfacing.

Users have so far noticed that Apple hasn’t yet fixed the night-time camera lens flare glitch that was reported on the older models. Moreover, some are facing overheating issues.

And now, another glitch has surfaced which is ruining the user experience for some Snapchat users.

Snapchat iOS 17 or iPhone 15 UI glitch & camera quality issues

One of the primary issues affecting Snapchat users is related to the user interface. Many users have reported UI glitch where the Dynamic Island is blocking content of the app.

On Snapchat I can’t fully see the names on chats and when watching stories the top is blocked by the dynamic pill shape. It appears that everything has been shifted upwards (Source)

@Snapchat @snapchatsupport I just got the new iphone 15 pro and the UI is extremely weird and cut off on top and on bottom, also the camera looks weird? Any help would be great, the app is almost unusable (Source)

As a result, users can’t properly see the names of some chats. And when they are watching a story, the top section is blocked by the Dynamic Island.

Furthermore, users have noticed that the app content has slightly moved upwards. This can be highly frustrating for users who rely on Snapchat for sharing and viewing multimedia content seamlessly.

Another Snapchat issue on iPhone 15 and iOS 17 devices is related to camera quality (1, 2, 3, 4).

iOS 17

Users have noticed a significant drop in the quality of both their front and back cameras when using the Snapchat app where images appear blurry and less sharp.

Unfortunately, neither Apple nor Snapchat has acknowledged any of these issues. But we hope that they get resolved soon.
