Sea of Thieves players are experiencing disruptions as the servers appear to be down or not working, leaving many gamers frustrated.

This popular multiplayer pirate adventure game heavily relies on server connectivity for a seamless gaming experience.

However, reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) of the servers being down have been pouring in from players who are unable to access the game or are encountering difficulties during gameplay.

Moreover, the issue is accompanied by the ‘lavender beard’ error, indicating a possible connection problem. The cause of the server disruption is believed to be related to an Xbox outage.

Here are some reports for reference:

Fortunately, the support team didn’t take too long to acknowledge the problem. The team is aware of the disruption with Xbox services that is causing connectivity issues with the game.

However, they didn’t provide any ETA for the fix. For now, those affected can keep an eye on the Xbox status page to know if the issue has been resolved.

Furthermore, players should keep in mind that the server outages are typically temporary. And once the problem is addressed, they will be able to return to Sea of Thieves without any issues.
