Samsung is undoubtedly one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world.

The South Korean smartphone maker was known for its horrible Android UI called Touchwiz. However, in the last few years, the company completely overhauled its image with the release of the One UI.

The current version of One UI is 3.1, with Samsung rumored to release the One UI 3.1.1 in the coming days. We even have a dedicated tracker for the same which you can check here.

Having said that, the next logical step will be the launch of One UI 4.0, which has been pushed back by a couple of months due to the One UI 3.1.1 update. Nonetheless, a couple of details about the upcoming version update have surfaced on the internet.

According to the notable Samsung tipster Ice Universe, One UI 4.0 will come with new animations, a new privacy module and completely redesigned applications.

Moreover, it looks like the updated Android skin will feature some system-level optimization for AMD-based mobile GPUs. If that’s the case, we might see AMD GPUs pushing past the current performance of Android flagships.

Of course, One UI 4.0 will be based on Android 12. Some leaks suggest that it will be heavily inspired by Google’s Material You and also offer some Samsung Knox improvements.

It is also rumored to completely redesign the Notes app since many Samsung devices now support the S-Pen.

According to various reports, the next version of One UI will be coming to the Galaxy S21 series sometime in the month of November or early December. The beta testing is rumored to start in a month or so.
