Samsung announced that several devices including the Galaxy Note 20 series will get three major OS updates starting with One UI 3.0 (Android 11).

It was reported back in August that the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update was being tested on the Galaxy S20 series devices in the UK.

After some time, the OEM confirmed the release date of the latest custom skin in a press release while also stating the Galaxy S20 series will be the first to bag the update.

The OEM also started the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) Pre-beta program for the Galaxy S20 series in multiple regions followed by the release of Pre-beta 1 in the US.

Now, it seems that the OEM is moving ahead with the Pre-beta program as recent reports suggest that One UI 3.0 Pre-beta 2 update is coming soon.

Also, the development of Android 11-based One UI 3.0 has started for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

The information comes from Twitter where the Ambassador of Samsung Care has posted about the imminent arrival of One UI 3.0 Pre-beta 2 update.

However, the information about Android 11 development for the aforementioned devices comes from another renowned Twitter user, Max Weinbach.

While not much information is available on the matter as of now, it’s still good to see that the OEM is steadily progressing with the development of the latest Android OS update.

This clearly indicates that Samsung is working really hard on the development of its latest in-house custom skin along with Android 11.

Moreover, it seems that the OEM is hell bent on keeping true to its promise of delivering three OS updates to eligible devices as soon as possible.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide updates as and when more information becomes available.

It must also be noted that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 20 series back in August and the devices offer One UI 2.5 out-of-the-box.

The OEM is already updating other devices with One UI 2.5 so be sure to check out our dedicated One UI 2.5 update tracker to know when it arrives on your device.
