The future of the tech industry seems to be in AI and the big brands know it, so they have been investing a lot of resources in developing tools that are up to the task. The smartphone segment is no exception and we saw it in the Pixel 8 series, so Samsung does not want to be left behind with its own Galaxy AI suite that will power multiple of its apps.

According to reports, Samsung’s Galaxy AI will include a series of services whose capabilities will be powered by AI to offer more advanced functionality. It is said that two of the apps that will benefit from Galaxy AI will be Samsung’s Keyboard and Notes, and a new leak from tipster Alvin on X (Twitter) revealed more specific details in this regard.

Galaxy AI-powered Keyboard and Notes apps could offer advanced text interpretation and conversion

According to the post, the Galaxy AI-powered Keyboard and Notes apps will be able to summarize web pages, so you can get all the key information in just a few lines. With respect to writing, the system will help detect the context and ‘tone’ with which the text is written, making better interpretations and generating phrases or paragraphs adapted to different situations. That is, you can write a base text and then have the Galaxy AI-powered tools ‘transform’ it according to the tone you choose.

The list of available tones for text conversion includes the following:

  • Original
  • Professional
  • Casual
  • Social post
  • Polite
  • Witty
  • Emojinally

Not only that, but now the Notes app could include capabilities of translating hand-written doodles into formal texts or emails, making it a potentially ideal professional tool, especially if you use a device that supports a stylus (like the Galaxy S Ultra). The source indicates that there are multiple other AI-powered features yet to be revealed, so we will have to wait for the January 17 event to find out everything about it.

These new features sound quite interesting, and it will be exciting to know the complete package that Samsung has prepared, seeking to catch up with Google in the AI section for smartphones and presumably also in terms of software support.
