[Updated] Some Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 buyers only receiving free fabric band and not the silicon or leather band

Some Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 buyers are reporting that they’ve only received the fabric band and not the silicon or leather band that was supposed to be part of their purchase.

According to the reports, many customers only received the free fabric band with their watch. The package included all the watch and the free fabric band, but the silicon or leather bands were missing.

Just opened my Galaxy Watch 6 44 m in Canada and noticed that the box only had the watch and charger inside and the stickers to seal the box weren’t even added before it shipped (still inside the box). Just wanted to check with others, does the watch not include a silicone band? (Source)

I received my new Galaxy Watch 6 yesterday. It came with only the free fabric band. I called Samsung to let them know I didn’t receive my Hybrid Leather D Camel band. They advised me that I had to send the watch back and they would then send me a new one with the band. (Source)

As highlighted by a Redditor, the Galaxy Watch 6 models comes with the following bands:

– Watch 6 40mm S/M Sport in matching Black or Silver

-Watch 6 44mm M/L Sport in matching Black or Silver

– Watch 6 Classic 43mm S/M Hybrid Leather in matching Black or Silver

– Watch 6 Classic 47mm M/L Hybird Leather in matching Black or Silver

If you order anything different (band/color/size) than that, then it would be in the different box with the watch body by itself and the band in a separate compartment (Source)

But due to unknown reasons, many customers didn’t receive their silicon or hybrid leather band with their package.

Instead, they only got the fabric band in a separate box as part of the shipment.

As the grievances pile up, one buyer alleges that Samsung responded to their complaint by saying:

The sports band somehow was not included or was not shipped with your order. They are aware of the issue and stated that the band will now arrive as a separate package within 24 to 48 hours. Per the Samsung rep, they are getting tons of calls about this. (Source)

So if this is accurate, it’s likely customers might get the silicon or hybrid leather bands in a separate shipment. However, we’d suggest getting in touch with support for more clarity.

If bought individually, the hybrid leather band could cost up to $80. Further explaining the frustration of the customers.

07:15 pm (IST): According to recent reports (1,2,3,4), it appears that customers who are ordering a free band (particularly a camel hybrid leather band) with their Galaxy Watch 6 are experiencing shipment delays.

They are also speculating that their entire order shipment will be delayed.
