Developed by Samsung, the Galaxy S21 series is one of the best smartphones money can buy. Part of the flagship S series, it was unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked event in January last year.

That said, Samsung recently updated the devices to One UI 4.1 based on Android 12. However, since the update, users have reported a plethora of issues with their devices.

Bugs such as back and home becoming unresponsive and broken recent app suggestions have frustrated many.

Adding to the trouble, Galaxy S21 users are now reporting that they are unable to load videos in browser after updating to One UI 4.1. Those affected say they tried different apps such as Chrome and the default Samsung browser but to no avail.

Moreover, generic solutions such as clearing app cache and data and reinstalling browsers do not seem to help with the problem. Here are some reports from Galaxy S21 users who are unable to play videos in any browser after the One UI 4.1 update.

Since the March 2022 software update, videos do not play on any internet browsers. For example i can go on to Google Chrome or Samsung Internet and click on a video, it will load up fine but the video itself does not actually play, I have tried rebooting the phone, deleting and re-installing apps and still nothing and it is seriously aggrevating. Please get this sorted I do not need even more temptation to switch to iPhone.

Ever since I have done the Android 4.1 update on my samsung s21 ultra, videos won’t play on the browsers. I have tried both chrome and the default Samsung browser. This video glitch happens as well on some other applications. I have tried a number of fixes of which seem to work, including contacting Google themselves. Please advice

Unfortunately, Samsung is yet to comment on the matter. Fortunately, we came across a workaround that might help fix the problem temporarily.

It involves rebooting the phone and playing the video again. However, users say that the problem starts again in a few minutes after they reboot the phone.

Same thing is happening to me with the regular S21 5G. Videos are not starting in ether browser and youtube app. Sometimes restarting the app helps but more often not. Rebooting the device is the only option, but works for a while, them the videos stop playing again.
