New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…

Original story (published on March 30, 2021) follows:

Samsung has been doing a fine job when it comes to the rollout of Android 11 to eligible devices from its device list. The OEM had previously released One UI 3.0 for several devices ahead of its official schedule.

Fast forward to March and Samsung appears to have almost been done and dusted with Android 11 rollouts for most eligible devices. In fact, Samsung has even left behind several other OEMs lately. More on that here.

It began seeding the One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11 to their flagship Galaxy S20 and Note 20 models as early as last year and recently even started rolling the One UI 3.1 update to some devices directly – the most recent being the Samsung Galaxy A80.

Anyway, now that all of the 2019 flagships are now running One UI 3.0, users have been waiting the One UI 3.1 update.

Since the entirety of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series is running One UI 3.0 update already, you won’t really see a drastic change after installing the One UI 3.1 update.

Still, the One UI 3.1 update brings Google Discover feed integration, Google Home Device Controls, Google Duo integration, new video call effects, eye comfort shield, object eraser in Gallery, new Camera features, and more.

And the good news is that One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11 is now rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S10+ in Canada. It carries a size of 975.12 MB and brings the latest March 2021 security patch.

Of course, this means that other devices in the series namely Samsung Galaxy S10 and the S10e are also all set to receive the One UI 3.1 update in Canada.

Nonetheless, there is a minor setback. The update reportedly gives a miss to the wireless DeX feature. This means that you may not be able to connect your Samsung phone as seamlessly to your other devices.

Hopefully, it will be made available in the future.

For now, stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about the availability of One UI 3.1 for all eligible devices from the company.

Update 1 (April 01)

04:46 pm (IST): Turns out that the missing wireless DeX functionality was a false alarm as the same is still available for the S10 series. Apologies for any inconvenience.

@PiunikaWeb i was wrong … Wireless Dex is a go … … but Google Feed on OneUI 3.1 is not a thing on the S10 models running OneUI 3.1 though
