The Samsung Galaxy A70 picked up the update to Android 10 alongside One UI 2.0 a few months ago and has been in line to receive the One UI 2.1 skin. Samsung’s One UI 2.1 skin has already rolled out on several other eligible smartphones.

Therefore, it’s only a matter of time before Samsung begins seeding the One UI 2.1 for the Galaxy A70 as well. Matter of fact, a new test build has surfaced online suggesting that the device may be picking up a major update soon.

According to a screenshot shared by a user on Reddit, the new test build that has been discovered carries the build number CTI3. This is a bump up from the latest official firmware for the Galaxy A70 which carries the build number BTH4.

Since it’s highly unlikely that Samsung will release Android 11 for the Galaxy A70 anytime soon, it’s possible that this may indeed be the One UI 2.1 update that is being tested on the device.

If there are no major bugs or issues spotted in the One UI 2.1 build for the Galaxy A70, it’s possible that Samsung might release the update in October. The Galaxy A71 also picked up One UI 2.1 along with a bunch of new camera features a few months ago.

One such feature that Samsung marketed for the Samsung Galaxy A71 is the ‘Switch Camera while Recording’ option. This allows users to easily switch the camera while recording a video without having to pause it.

However, users have noticed that the feature isn’t available on their devices. In particualr, the function isn’t available on Galaxy A71 units in India. We’ve added some user reports below:

Consumer forum contacted Samsung yesterday and Switch camera while video recording feature is removed from website within a day.

Samsung didn’t remove it even in 15 days when I raised it with Samsung.

So all users who are waiting for Samsung to fix the issues.
There is only one way fight for it. Raise complaint in Consumer forum. (Source)

Can you guys please show where is switch camera while recording in A71. This literally rediculous, fake marketing by SAMSUNG. I have trusted Samsung everytime but this is what you get. @jagograhakjago Please look into it. (Source)

I was going through samsung India website for A71 specs. And I noticed that website says A71 supports switch camera while recording but this feature is missing from my A71. (Source)

At present, it’s unclear why Samsung advertised the feature but hasn’t included the option. Moreover, the South Korean giant has not made any official comment regarding the availability of the Switch Camera while Recording option.

As usual, we will keep an eye on any further developments surrounding the missing feature on the Galaxy A71 and will post an update once new details emerge. Meanwhile, we’d suggest keeping an eye our on our dedicated tracker to know more details regarding the rollout of One UI 2.1.
