This year Samsung appears to be taking software updates a lot more seriously than it did in the past. At the time of writing, a bunch of phones from the OEM have already been updated to Android 11.
Earlier, the company would be lagging behind most other OEMs with major OS updates. Hence this is a step in the right direction for the South Korean giant and we only hope things get even better from here on.
Most recently, Samsung rolled out the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G in the U.S.
The 4G variant of the Galaxy A51 also picked up the One UI 3.0 update not much long ago in some regions. And now, it seems Samsung has started sending out the One UI 3.0 update to Galaxy A51 users in India.
It has been captured on a couple of Samsung-dedicated firmware pages (1, 2) with the build number DUB1 and the February security patch.
We haven’t yet gotten our hands on any screenshots of the software update from users confirming the same. It’s likely that the update will reach most users by the end of the day or by tomorrow.
Moreover, Samsung has not yet updated its official software updates page for the Samsung Galaxy A51 (SM-A515F | INS) to reflect the rollout.
The update will bring a bunch of new features as well as an overhauled user interface to the device.
That said, now that the Android 11 or One UI 3.0 update is available for the Galaxy A51 in India, it’s likely that we’ll see it go live in other remaining regions soon.
Furthermore, the update is expected to go live for other devices from the Galaxy A series in the near future.
