Samsung is nearly done rolling out Android 11 for all eligible smartphones. This is a major leap forward for the company which was previously known for its sluggish updates.

Matter of fact, Samsung has left most other OEMs in the dust with the Android 11 rollout including the likes of OnePlus and Nokia.

This is despite the company having more smartphones than the two combined. Now, if only Samsung sticks to rolling out updates this quick, it shouldn’t be long before we see Android 12 hitting Samsung phones.

That said, there’s still more good news. Samsung has now started rolling out the One UI 3.1 update for the Galaxy A30 as well.

The device launched with Android 9 Pie onboard and picked up the update to Android 10 in April last year. So it seems Samsung delayed the second major OS update for the device by just one month.

The information regarding the rollout of Android 11 for the Samsung Galaxy A30 comes from a few users who’ve confirmed receiving the update on the company’s community forums (1, 2, 3).

At present, the update appears to be live for users in India with the firmware version number A305FDDU6CUE1 and weighs 2014.64 MB.

The South Korean firm has also thrown in the April security patch for good measure.

That said, it is yet to update the official software documentation page for the Samsung Galaxy A30 with the ‘INS’ CSC code to reflect the rollout of Android 11 or One UI 3.1.

Now that the update is live for the device in India, it’s likely that we’ll see a wider rollout within the next few days.
