Rogue Company is among the most played multiplayer third-person shooter game which is available across multiple platforms. It recently bagged the Cannon update which offers a new character, Cannon.

Apart from that, the update also brings along new gadgets, perks, and abilities. One such ability is known as Gatling Gun where the rate of fire increases if it is fired for longer duration.

However, the latest Rogue Company update appears to be causing some problems for several players. As per multiple reports, using the Gatling Gun ability of Cannon breaks the audio in Rogue Company.

Also, the game lags and and the Gatling Gun audio keeps on running indefinitely even when firing stops. The issue appears to be widespread and is basically making the game unplayable for players.

While some players are liking the new character from the latest Rogue Company update, the audio bug when Cannon fires Gatling Gun is inconveniencing them. There is currently no workaround for this issue which is further adding to users’ dilemma.

i can’t hear anything for the rest of the match once someone’s used their minigun, there’s just non-stop minigun firing & most other guns make no noise. also, voice lines are really distorted while the minigun is firing. sometimes the sound does go away when the minigun goes away, but sometimes isn’t really good enough

also, changing strikeout back to spawn-camping simulator wasn’t a very good call imo, especially since there’s no way to be on the winning end of it with matchmaking the way that it is

cannon is actually well-balanced, it’s just the audio bug that breaks him

The continuous audio glitch from Cannon’s turret is torturous. I’m not saying that as an exaggeration. It caused bad anxiety in myself. If you have anxiety issues like I do, I urge you to hold off playing Rogue Company til after the patch in the morning.

It is unclear what the exact cause of this issue is but the latest update appears to be the main culprit here. However, affected players may not have to dwell with this problem for too long.

This is because Rogue Company support has acknowledged the audio bug with Cannon Gatling Gun stating that they are aware of this problem and are working on a fix for the same.

Thus it is possible that the next update or patch for Rogue Company might address the issue in the near future. However, this is still based on speculation as game support has not provided any ETA for the fix.

So, it is unclear how long it will take to address this problem. However, affected payers can still take comfort in knowing that the issue is already being looked into and a fix will arrive for the same.

Hopefully, the game developer and publisher, First Watch Games and Hi-Rez Studios respectively, soon resolve the aforementioned issue so that Rogue Company players can enjoy the Cannon update without any hassle.
