Players of the popular video game Rocket League are facing some problems while trying to pair up with friends at a party.

According to multiple reports, the rank disparity system of Rocket League is not working properly (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

Rocket League rank disparity not working properly

The rank disparity system on Rocket League requires that team members must be within three ranks with each other to form a party.

This feature was applied to achieve more balanced matches. With the rank disparity system, it is avoided that some members of a team have a much lower rank than that of the others.

But, in recent weeks, many Rocket League players report that the system has a bug or glitch, because it does not allow to form a party with their friends even if they meet the rank requirements.

Rank disparity – question

Hello,

I am C1 in 3s and C2 in 2s, my friend is D2 in 3s and C1 in 2s yet we cannot play 3s (or 3v3 tournaments together). I wanna ask, why is that. I´ve read that rank disparity should be within 3 ranks from each other, which is. Even if I drop my 2s to C1 we still can´t que 3s. How does it work then? C1 is not further than 3 ranks from his D2. Does it count divisions or am I missing something?

Thanx in advance,

Vensq

Tournament rank disparity problem

Earlier today i tried queueing up with my friend to play the rumble tournament and it showed “rank disparity” even though it shouldn’t have did that as we usually play 2’s or 3’s tournaments together.

I’m c3 in tournaments and p3 in rumble, he is c1 in tournaments and d3 in rumble. So we ended up each playing alone

There is a workaround

Rocket League players report a workaround that helps to resolve the bug. Basically, it is recommended that all players who want to form a party restart the game.
