New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 15, 2021) follows:

Roblox first came out on PC is 2006 and has since become available on multiple platforms like iOS, Android, and Xbox. While the game creation system came out on Xbox One in 2015, it is now available for Xbox Series X/S and Windows 10 as well.

The platform allows to create games for other users to play and even play games created by others. Roblox has over 160 million active users making it one of the most popular online game platforms.

The online game platform recently bagged an update on Xbox but it seems the latest update is doing more harm than good. As per multiple reports, users for the Xbox consoles have been complaining about audio issues (no sound) in Roblox after the latest update.

There are multiple reports from Xbox One users but it seems the issue is troubling Xbox Series X/S users as well. Reports clearly outline that Roblox for Xbox is playing no audio (music and VFX) whatsoever.

The issue appears to be widespread and workarounds like disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet or even reinstalling the game platform is not helping affected Xbox users.

@info_at_roblox the game has no sound. I power cycled the Xbox one, quit the game and uninstalled and reinstalled it and nothing helped. The console and the other games have sound.

It is unclear what the exact cause of this issue is but it is safe to assume that the latest update might be the culprit here. However, nothing is clear until Roblox Corporation sheds some light on the matter.

Roblox support has not even acknowledged the audio (no sound) issue on the Xbox consoles but this might be due to the fact that reports regarding this issue started surfacing pretty recently.

Another thing to note is that this issue appears to be affecting only Xbox users which further indicates that other platforms might not be affected because of it.

Does anyone know why my Roblox doesn’t have any audio? I play on Xbox one s and everything else is find but Roblox won’t have any sound.

@Roblox please fix the audio issues on the xbox one. No sound is working at all, the background sound and in game sounds are not working.

However, all this is still based on speculation as Roblox Corporation is yet to make matters official.

Meanwhile, feel free to let us know if you are also facing the aforementioned issue on Xbox or any other platform by dropping a comment below.

Hopefully, the game developer and publisher soon acknowledges or fixes the problem with no sound on the Xbox consoles so that players can enjoy Roblox without any hassle.

Update 1 (September 21)

01:10 pm (IST): One Reddit user has shared a potential workaround for the audio issue with Roblox. Check it out below:

Hey everyone! I believe I found a fix if the ‘no sound issue’ is still happening for anyone. Just follow these steps:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller and go to settings.

2. Click the “Settings” option.

3. Click the “Devices and Connections” option.

4. Click “Blu-Ray” in the new menu.

5. Click “Persistent Storage.”

6. Then click “Clear Persistent Storage.”

This method worked for me; what this does is it clears the cache from your Xbox. Another way to do it if that doesn’t work is to remove the power cord from the back of your Xbox, wait two minutes, then plug it back in.
