So, apparently if you take the glowing creature and jump back down into the sewer tunnel from the ramp above, you can’t use the lever anymore in the middle of the map. Sadly I did that (seemed like the obvious thing to do) and it seems like this makes it impossible to progress through the map, unless there is some other way..
