After the latest “The Awakened King” DLC update, players of Remnant 2 are reporting terrible performance and crashing-related issues on Xbox. The developers have acknowledged the issue and are currently working on a fix.
Remnant 2 crashing issues following the latest DLC update:
The Awakened King DLC for Remnant 2 brings new content, including a fresh storyline, dungeons, equipment, and enemy types. The DLC introduces a new archetype called “The Ritualist,” which focuses on buffs/debuffs and status effects.
The new storyline revolves around the One True King, who has been corrupted by the Root and driven to madness. The DLC features a brand-new campaign within Losomn, introducing new bosses, gear, and a massive, hand-crafted area.
However, alongside the exciting new additions, the update has also introduced some issues that are causing problems for players. Reports indicate that the game is experiencing severe frame rate issues, with frequent drops to even single digits.
Frame rates are not the only concern; a significant portion of the player base is reporting frequent game crashes. Players have mentioned that when they load their saved games after the update, the game either crashes or fails to load. These complaints are primarily coming from Xbox users.
How to fix the performance issues:
With numerous reports flooding in, the developers have finally addressed the situation and issued an official statement regarding its status. According to the statement, Xbox players experiencing crashes can breathe a sigh of relief.
The statement confirms that the team is actively working on a fix and will soon release an update containing solutions for all the crashes and performance issues.
In the meantime, players can try some workarounds shared by other players. One player has suggested the following method:
- Remove the DLC
- Enter the game, then exit
- Reinstall the DLC
Following this method allegedly resolves the crashing issue. However, it’s important to note that the official fix may take some time, as no specific release date has been announced yet.
