Android is slowly but steadily catching up to iOS in terms of updates. Once thought to be Android’s Achilles’ heel, today more and more Android phone-makers are pushing out constant security and feature updates to their devices.

These include even phone makers whose skinned versions of Android are as far from stock Android as could be. We’re talking Samsung, Huawei and even OPPO. All this means is that more and more Android devices are adequately protected from vulnerabilities in the Android system.

One such device that is getting the latest Android security patch is the Realme X2 Pro. Despite coming in January 2020, the update is still based on the December 2019 security patch level.

Realme X2 Pro

The update brings the software version running on this device to A.08, up from A.07. This means that the full software version running on the device after this update is RMX1931EX_11_A.08.

Other than the December 2019 security patch level, this update also packs a few enhancements and fixes. This is described in the following changelog;

The Realme X2 Pro and the X2 have been pretty well updated in the past. Before this January patch, we saw the Chinese variant of the X2 Pro getting the December patch update. We also saw the device get a huge update centered around camera enhancement.
