With the ongoing Corona Virus Pandemic, many sectors have been affected. Companies are urging the employees to stay home and many economies are generally slowed down. The smartphone industry hasn’t been spared either.

However, despite these hurdles, many phonemakers are still finding ways to roll out updates to devices. Most recently, we saw the OnePlus 7 and the 7 Pro getting updated to the March Android security patch update and now, Realme is following suit.

Realme is rolling out the March 2020 Android security patch update to the Realme 5 and the Realme 5s. The update packs a few extra perks for these two devices and the changelog is similar. The build numbers for the March update to both the Realme 5 and the Realme 5s are the same, Version RMX1911EX_11_A.27.

Also getting updated to the March 2020 ANdroid security patch level is the Realme 1. The changelog for this device’s update is a little more flared compared to the generic one we saw with the Realme 5 and the 5s.

The March patch to this device brings with it a fix to the issue that VoWiFi was unable to registered when the device is connected to either a 2G / 3G network. Below is the device’s changelog:

This update brings the software version running on the Realme 1 to version CPH1861EX_11_C.48.

To recall, the realme 1 got support for VoWiFi last week with an update to the February 2020 Android security patch update. You can read more about that here.

At the time of writing, a good number of Realme devices have already been updated to the March 2020 Android security patch level. These devices include the Realme X, Realme 3, 3i, 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro and XT, Realme X2 and X2 Pro, Realme 2 and C1, Realme 6 Pro and the Realme 2 Pro.

Since these are all OTA updates, it might take a while before they hit your device. You should therefore, be a little patient as you await this update. We shall update if, and when we get download links to these updates so you can manually install them where applicable.
