[Updated] Realme 3 Pro (Realme X Lite) July update brings recording to text feature, Realme Link, & bug fixes; Realme 3 & 3i also get July OTA

While Android security updates usually bring security patches, some OEMs like Realme push bug fixes and other improvements along. Realme recently provided the July security update to some of its devices that also included the realme Link app.

Now, Realme is pushing the July security update to the Realme X Lite (aka Realme 3 Pro), Realme 3i, and Realme 3 with a lot of bug fixes and improvements.

Realme X Lite/Realme 3 Pro

The Chinese Realme 3 Pro variant gets the realme Link app so it doesn’t have to be installed separately for the Realme Buds Air, etc. Also, the recording to text feature has been added to the Realme recorder app which makes it easier to convert voice samples to text.

However, it must be noted that this update is currently unavailable for the Global and Indian Realme X Lite variants. But once it’s out, a similar changelog can be expected for Realme 3 Pro.

Realme 3 and Realme 3i

The OEM is also pushing the July security update to Realme 3 and Realme 3i. The update version RMX1821EX_11.C.14 is the same for both devices and also brings the same changes along with the July security patch.

There are many fixes including the game assistant failure, smart sidebar press and hold crash, screen-off fingerprint unlock failure, and more. Here’s the official changelog for the Realme 3 and Realme 3i July security update.

Nevertheless, users of the Global and Indian Realme X Lite variants can soon expect the July security update. This is because Realme X Lite and Realme 3 Pro are virtually identical. So, it is safe to assume that both devices will get the same update with minor changes.

As promised, the actual Realme 3 Pro July update is now live as version C.07, up from the June patch that came as version C.06. For some reason, though, the changelog is not as extensive as that of its Chinese counterpart. Check it out below:
