Motorola Razr+ 2023, known outside the U.S. as the Razr 40 Ultra, has been experiencing a bug where audio plays only from the right bud when using the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple users complain that the audio output is being exclusively directed to the right earbud, rendering the left earbud completely silent.

They claim that the left bud does not produce any sound aside from the connection notifications.

I’m using Moto razr 40 ultra and Galaxy buds 2 pro ear buds. My earbuds are successfully connected but audio is coming only from right earbud, I can hear left earbud connecting but no audio is coming from it. Please help.

On the other hand, a few assert that it works only on certain occasions, such as when one puts on the left earbud while the music is playing.

Notably, this issue only pops up when connecting the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with a Razr+ 2023 or Razr 40 Ultra device. Luckily, one can use the earbuds as intended on phones from other manufacturers.

People also claim that they can use other earbuds with their smartphones without any hiccups. They suspect that the issue might be popping up due to some compatibility issues between the two gadgets.

To get rid of this problem, users have time and again tried reconnecting and re-pairing both devices, but to no effect.

They claim that even though both buds appear as a part of the group, the audio plays on the right side only. Interestingly, a user was able to resolve the problem by resetting the earbuds from Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable app.

I have 2 RAZR+s and one has the wearables app and buds 2 pro manager installed, the other has no wearables app and no plugin. I have the same experience of no audio on the left bud on both phones regardless of the wearables app status.

Those impacted are also urging others to report the issue on the support forums. They believe that the company will address this bug quickly if they get more reports.

Some are even so annoyed that they are thinking of returning their new earbuds to Samsung.

No official response

Unfortunately, Motorola has not officially responded to the matter. But we do hope that it will address these concerns soon.
