Rainbow Six Extraction is the latest title in the long-running Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six series. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the game was released in January this year.

But ever since its launch, players have reported a multitude of issues some of which negatively affect the gameplay experience.

As it turns out, players are facing another issue with the game. According to recent reports (1,2,3,4,5) from Rainbow Six Extraction players, sometimes operators start coughing and don’t stop unless they exit the match.

Many say that the issue is making it hard for them to play the game normally. Reports suggest that the issue persists even if players head over to the next objective.

You can watch in the video below how irritating the coughing can be for some players.

Here are some reports from Rainbow Six Extraction players who are frustrated by the endless coughing.

Hello! I have noticed that Hibana coughed the entire game after inhaling smoke. the trigger is when a breacher explodes – Hibana coughs endlessly on my screen even after going to the next objective. when I asked my team mates, they said they couldn’t hear it. I think its a bug because on other operators this doesn’t happen. I feel bad for Hibana most of the time that this happens.. Hope it gets fixed…

Last night I got a audio bug where my operator kept making grunting sounds until I extracted. I was playing Lion and I think I was in Enterprise Space Foundation’s 2nd sub zone doing a decontamination objective. I was close to the nest where I needed to grab the sample from and got stuck by blinding spores. I quickly tossed a stun grenade to get rid of them. I was also sprinting after the stun if that helps. Lion kept making grunting sounds from then until I extracted in the last zone.

Fortunately, after a month of Rainbow Six Extraction operators going on endless coughing feat, Ubisoft Support Staff has acknowledged the issue and said they are currently investigating it.

Hey there @heysnowybear , thanks for confirming that for us. I can see that our teams are continuing to investigate this issue. I’ve gone ahead and added your report to our investigation, as well as mentioned that your kid had the same issue – my apologies to both of you for the inconvenience while we look into this, and let me know if you’ve any questions in the meantime.

However, they did not share any timeframe on when they will be fixing the problem. As always we will be updating this article once the issue is fixed so stay tuned.
