Team Go Rocket leaders have finally arrived in the game. But to encounter Team Go Rocket leaders, players are required to defeat Go Rocket Grunts and collect mysterious components. We have listed its complete process down below.

Earlier, Niantic revealed the names of Team Go Rocket leaders – Cliff, Sierra and Arlo. But now they are live in the game and defeating, and Team Go Rocket leaders can also reward players with Unova stones and Sinnoh stones. Mentioned below are the steps to encounter Team Go Rocket leaders.

Team Go Rocket Leaders

1) Players are required to defeat Team Go Rocket Grunts to get Mysterious Components.
2) 6 Mysterious components are required to create a Rocket Detector
3) Then Rocket Detector can be used to find a Team Go Rocket Leader.
4) Activation of the detector will take players to a new map where you will encounter Team Go Rocket Leader.
5) If Team Go Rocket Leader is defeated, Rocket Detector will be consumed.
6) In terms of battle, Go Rocket leaders are similar to normal Grunt battles in combat.
7) Players may also receive Unova Stone or Sinnoh Stone after defeating Team Go Rocket leaders.

Have a look at images above demonstrating Team Go Rocket Leaders along with the new map. Speaking of defeating Team Go Rocket leaders, Cliff has Rock-types and Normal-types Pokemon.

Pokemon that will be used by Cliff are the following: 1) Meowth 2) Snorlax 3) Tyranitar or Infernape. Players can use the combination of Machamp, Hariyama and Blaziken to defeat Cliff.

Arlo uses Steel-types and Dragon-types Pokemon, and according to player reports, Arlo can have the following Pokemon: Scyther, Magnezone, Dragonite. Players can use a team of Mamoswine and Moltres to defeat Arlo.

Team Go Rocket Leader Sierra uses Dark-type and Fairy-type Pokemon. Players have seen the following Pokemon while encountering Sierra : Sneasel and Gardevoir. Players can use a team of Machamp, Hariyama and Metagross to defeat Sierra.

For a quick refresher, Team Go Rocket made entry to the game in the month of July 2019, and fans appreciated their addition. Team Go Rocket Grunts invaded Pokestops with Shadow Pokemon. Players were required to defeat these Grunts, and save Shadow Pokemon.

To save Shadow Pokemon, they need to be purified with a process called Purification.

It requires a certain amount of Candy and Stardust to purify the Shadow Pokemon. Apart from that, Swords of Justice member, Cobalion is now available in raids. Cobalion is a Tier 5 Raid boss and will stay live in raids until November 26, 2019, at 1 p.m. PST.
