Published by the same studio that brought us Ingress, Pokemon Go is an Augmented Reality based game developed in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. The game encourages players to go out in the real world to find new Pokemons.

Launched with just 150 Pokemons, the game receives frequent updates and now features more than 700 Pokemons. Pokemon Go also gives players the option to customize trainers and equip various outfits.

With that being said, Pokemon Go players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) an issue where bald spots are visible when female trainers equip a Deino Hat. If you are unaware, the Deino Hat is the last prize in the Stardust challenge.

While this is not game-breaking, the visual bug is freaking out some players and making it weird for players who have a female trainer. Players add that the bald spot is visible even when the trainer has black hair.

Some said they tried removing the hat and re-equipping the Deino Hat but it looks that does not make any difference. You can see in the image below how it looks like when worn by female trainers.

After completing the Season of Heritage, I got the Deino hat. It looks cool, but it has holes on top of the hat. During the preview mode, there were no holes. I hope @NianticHelp fix this glitch. #pokemongo #pogo #Deino

Why does the Deino hat look so….weird on my female avatar? There’s nothing other than the hat on my head. I even took of my sweet shades and it’s still there. Even dyed my hair black incase it was that. Is it just me or am I crazy? 😆

It is interesting to note that the Deino Hat looks completely fine in the previews but glitches when worn only by female avatars. Thankfully, Niantic Support has acknowledged the issue and said that they are looking into it.

We apologize for the inconvenience, Trainer! Currently, our team is looking into this issue, please keep an eye out on our official channels for updates. Thanks for your patience! ^MS
