Niantic recently introduced the Buddy Adventure feature to Pokemon Go and this new feature allows Buddy Pokemon to follow their trainer on the overworld map. Apart from this, players can now also play & feed Buddy Pokemon.

But currently, many players are facing several issues with the Buddy Adventure feature. Well, Niantic has addressed all these issues in an official blog post. Developers have also fixed the issue where Buddy Progress gets Reset when Pokemon is evolved & not as an Active Buddy. Mentioned below are all the Buddy Adventure issues that have been addressed by the developers along with their current status.

Poffin Bonuses Are Reset at Midnight (Local Time)

Issue Description: Poffin bonuses are reset at midnight (local time) regardless of what time the Poffin is consumed by a Buddy Pokémon.

Total Days Spent with Buddy Pokémon Is Not Accurately Tracked

Issue Description: The “Total days” counter on a Buddy Pokémon’s profile is not accurately tracking the total number of days spent with the Buddy Pokémon.

Buddy Perk” Notifications Setting in Settings Menu Cannot Be Enabled

Issue Description: The “Buddy Perk” notifications setting cannot be enabled via the Settings menu.

Shared AR Experiences Causes Crashing on Certain Devices

Issue Description: Players using certain devices that support AR Core or AR Kit are unable to successfully access all features in Shared AR Experiences. This issue occurs because not all devices compatible with AR Core or AR Kit are compatible with Shared AR Experiences.

Issue Status: A small number of devices that meet the above criteria were individually marked as incompatible due to performance issues discovered in testing.

Players May Not Be Able to See Other Trainers’ Buddies During a Shared AR Experience

Issue Description: Players may not be able to see other Trainers’ Buddy Pokémon during a Shared AR Experience

Workaround: First, try restarting the Pokémon GO app before starting a new Shared AR Experience. If the problem persists, leave the Shared AR Experience and wait a few minutes before trying again.
