Poco has been working hard trying to create an impression that it is a completely independent brand following its split from Xiaomi early last year.

The sub-brand’s offerings are still mostly Xiaomi devices with a Poco branding slapped on top and its software is still MIUI but it’s all understandable at this early stage.

Still, Poco recently launched its own Poco Community and Poco Store apps/websites demonstrating its independence. There is much scope for improvement left in these though.

The first versions of the Poco Community site felt totally half-baked with bad layouts that looked even worse on mobile phones. There wasn’t even a search bar available to rummage through the site.

But this was expected considering that the site was still in its infancy. Fast forward to present day and most of the brokenness has been fixed and missing features have been added.

However, there is still one pretty crucial lacking – a MIUI ROM Download Center page dedicated to Poco devices. Xiaomi has had its own since forever and it’s about time Poco did too.

But now as per a recent post, the Poco Community site is finally set to get a MIUI download page for Poco devices.

The post is about a new temporary MIUI ROM Download Center for Poco devices. This download center isn’t exactly a fancy portal currently as it is just a Google Docs file with a bunch of links but is a good initiative nonetheless.

Emphasis on the word ‘temporary’ though. The post will be taken down as soon as an actual download center gets fully developed and deployed. No ETA has been given out for that yet.

Anyway, head here to directly access the temporary Poco MIUI ROM Download Center.
