Earlier this month, reports emerged that Google was working on a Pixel Watch feature that will send a notification to your smartphone through the Companion app when the battery hits full charge. Now, it seems the feature has just gone live for Pixel Watch users.

This feature was long overdue, and many people expected Google to include it with the launch of the Pixel Watch Companion app. But the wait is finally over, at least for Pixel Watch 2 users as reported by Android Authority. It’s still unclear if the original Pixel Watch is in line for this feature, but Google would be doing users of the watch a disservice by denying them such a basic function.

The way the feature works is that when your Pixel Watch gets to full charge, you’ll receive a notification to inform you that the battery is 100% full. This way, you shouldn’t forget to put the watch back on your wrist once it’s fully charged. Apparently, the feature is part of version 2.1.0.576785526 of the Pixel Watch app. Google hasn’t made any official announcements regarding its availability, but you should get it sooner or later.

You can’t disable the full battery notification alert on your Pixel Watch, not even through the companion app. But this shouldn’t be a problem. After all, this is a feature that has been in demand for long, so no one would want to turn it off.
