Payday 3 pre-order rewards & bonuses not appearing for PS5 players, issue acknowledged

Payday 3 players are reporting that even after pre-ordering the game, promised rewards and bonuses are missing.

Players took to social media to share their thoughts and shed some light on the issue, hoping that devs will finally fix the problem.

First time ever preordering a game because I thought “why not? The game looks super fun!” And I’m left feeling super scammed trying to play on PS5.. really expect either reimbursement or a bunch of in game rewards for the fiasco that is this launch… (Source)

Starbreeze Studio’s third and latest installment in the beloved PayDay franchise has been hyped ever since the announcement.

The large loyal fan base of the franchise quickly jumped onto the bandwagon when the game opened its pre-ordering season.

Unfortunately, recent reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) share that even after paying the extra buck and pre-ordering the game before the original release, players were deprived of the promised rewards.

Pre-ordering the game was supposed to come with in-game gold and other rewards. But players, especially on PS5, report that they didn’t find any rewards after logging in.

However, the problem is not specific to PlayStation. Some PC players also shared that they are experiencing this issue.

I heard PS5 players didn’t get their bonus but neither did I and I’m on PC. I also didn’t get the nebula rewards, just the Payday 2 difficulty weapon charms. (Source)

Some people also pointed out that even Gold edition rewards were missing for them.

As the reports piled up, devs finally caught wind of the issue. On X, the official support shared an acknowledgment, saying:

For the heisters who pre-ordered PAYDAY 3 on PS5 who can’t see their in-game bonuses and rewards. We’re aware of this issue and are working on a fix. The rewards are linked to your accout, and will be with you when the game fully launches on September 21! (Source)

Unfortunately, support only mentioned the issue on PS5. The PC version hasn’t received any official acknowledgment yet.

However, some players mentioned potential workarounds for the issues. One suggested that:

If your on PS5 then due to issues you won’t get it until September 21st. If you’re on Steam/EGS then try resetting the game (Source)

Apparently, PC users can simply reset their game and it could potentially fix their issue.
