[Updated: Acknowledged] Payday 3 offline mode heavily demanded after constant server outages & errors since launch

Since its release, Payday 3 players have been facing a series of server outages and errors that have made the game nearly unplayable and hence, they are now demanding for an offline mode.

Payday 3, the popular cooperative heist video game, should be a thrilling experience for players. However, it has been flawed by constant server outages and errors that have persisted since its launch.

Due to these technical issues, players haven’t been able to fully enjoy the game. And even though Payday 3 has a campaign mode, it is dependent on the game’s servers.

When the servers experience outages, which has been all too frequent, players can’t even access the single-player campaign. This has understandably left many quite frustrated.

Given the persistent server issues and the inability to access the single-player campaign during server outages, many players are now demanding (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) for an offline mode.

Payday 2 had offline to help with this issue. Payday 3 doesn’t so the servers are struggling and apparently the devs aren’t having much luck with trying to fix it. (Source)

Honestly on the verge of refunding I’ll be honest, I really don’t want to but I’d rather not have spent 80 bucks for a game I can’t even play. Please just add an offline mode ASAP. @PAYDAYGame (Source)

An offline mode will let players enjoy the game’s campaign without the need for a connection to the game’s servers. Interestingly, Payday 2, the predecessor to Payday 3, did include an offline mode.

Moreover, some players believe that adding an offline mode to Payday 3 could help alleviate server overload issues. With this mode available, not everyone would need to be connected to the servers to play the campaign.

That said, we will let you know if and when any latest information regarding this matter becomes available.

11:11 am (IST): CEO of Payday 3 developing studio, Tobias Sjögren, has hinted that the team is currently working on a potential offline mode.
