Players of Payday 3 are reporting that they are facing ‘Nebula connection error’ that is making the game almost unplayable.

Players took to social media to share their experiences with the issue in hopes of finding a passible solution.

took me 4 hours to get into my first match, and then now it won’t even let me connect to my nebula. 15 hours post launch and still unplayable. Going for a record?(Source)

In order to play Payday 3, players must need a Starbreeze Nebula account. But reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) are suggesting that current Nebula connection outage has been making it impossible to play.

Many game developers require players to create user accounts on their respective official networks. Publishers such as Bethesda and Ubisoft, in particular, have gained notoriety for implementing this practice.

Starbreeze Studios, the developers of Payday 3, also follow this trend. They mandate players to create an account to access the game, which they refer to as a ‘Nebula’ account.

However, according to recent reports, Nebula accounts are experiencing data or connection errors.

Previously, the game was reportedly plagued by severe matchmaking issues, rendering it unplayable.

While the matchmaking issue has been acknowledged, Nebula account error is still developing and there hasn’t been any official statement regarding it so far.
