New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on December 07, 2021) follows:

Paramount+ is one of the competitors in the streaming video content segment. The company seeks to face big names such as Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney+, among others.

Like most of its competitors, Paramount+ has an app available on a large number of platforms, including Roku.

However, users on Roku are suffering from error messages that are not allowing them to enjoy the service.

‘Content is not available’ error code on Paramount+ Roku app

This is one of the most reported problems by the users. Basically, the Paramount+ app refuses to load the content, and only offers an eternal buffering screen until the error code appears.

Error: Content is not available try again later – Paramount Plus:

I had to uninstall sling and reinstall it a couple weeks ago bcause it wouldn’t load,Sling helped with it and said ROKU did a big update and now requires more space so I had to delete a lot of channels. Now the Paramount channel I pay for keeps buffering and won’t load ,it says content is not available try again later and there is no Technical support for Paramount or ROKU.

This issue is frustrating many users who feel like they are wasting their money by not being able to enjoy a service they paid for.

If I continue to have all these issues I will look at other options, you deleted my purchase history as well!! Very poor service. And you are not showing who you are taking $35 for…….You really need to fix these issues, you are becoming like straight talk take the money but offer no customer service or technical support, just a place for all your unhappy paying customers to vent with no resolution. Not a good way to do “business”.

A similar issue while trying to load ads

Many Paramount+ Roku app users also report an issue while it’s trying to load ads. It seems that instead of loading the ad, the system just throws an error message.

The mentioned error is ‘Code CS-1200 Unfortunately an error occurred during playback. Please try again later’. here on, the user can no longer enjoy the show they were watching.

In addition to the above, the aforementioned error is reportedly affecting users since at least October. This means it’s already been weeks without any solution.

The fault is likely at Paramount+’s end, not Rokus

Given the multiple reports, the Roku support team responded that the problem is not theirs, but Paramount+, as it is the only app that presents a similar issue.

If the issue remains unresolved, I’d recommend reaching out to Paramount+ directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they’ll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Paramount+ channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel.

Meanwhile, the Paramount+ team has not declared anything in this regard. Therefore, affected users do not know if this problem will receive a fix.

Finally, if there is any new related development in the coming days, we will update this article to keep you informed.

Update 1 (January 26)

03:12 pm (IST): A Roku employee acknowledged the issue with ‘Content is not available error’. He said that the team is currently investigating it and working on a fix.
