Back in May, OnePlus announced that both OnePlus 5 and 5T would get Android Q in future. No ETA was given though, but the assurance did put OnePlus 5/5T in the same high place as OnePlus 3/3T to receive 3 major Android version updates.

The Chinese OEM also promised to backport a number of software based features from OxygenOS 9.5 branch on OnePlus 7 series to legacy phones, including OnePlus 5/5T.

Some of the highly anticipated components like Fnatic Mode, native Screen Recorder and Digital Wellbeing were eventually made available to 2017’s OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T via Open Beta channel. Zen Mode also came to the phone duo with the finalmost beta update.

Interestingly, the stable channel of OxygenOS for OnePlus 5/5T stayed put with May security patch for a while. The last update aka OxygenOS 9.0.6 brought Bullets Wireless 2 quick pairing support along with some Bluetooth audio fixes.

Around a month and half has gone since then, but OnePlus finally decided to cook a new stable update for OnePlus 5T and 5. OxygenOS 9.0.7 is reportedly hitting the phones, which packs June security patch and a bunch of goodies from the Open Beta branch.

The changelog also mentions a fix regarding Speed Dial. It should be related to the age-old Speed Dial contacts auto-deletion bug. These builds were compiled on July 18, merely 5 days before.
