Oculus verification email not received issue being looked into; players unable to download Horizon Worlds glitch surfaces

The initial activation of Oculus devices implies receiving a verification code by email. But, according to multiple reports, some users never receive the code, so they cannot use their headsets.

Users affected by the problem report that can’t activate their newly purchased Oculus device, and that nothing they tried to solve it worked (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

I got an Oculus this morning for Christmas and wanted to set it up. I downloaded the app and it won’t let me create an Oculus account. It keeps popping up aessage that says that something went wrong and to try again. I tried to then go onto the Oculus website to try my luck and I got to where they would send me an email verification and it never came through. I need some help on what I can do to fix this issue so that I can play on my Oculus.

The problem also affects some current Oculus users who want to modify their accounts. After all, completing the process also requires a verification email, but they never get it.

Tried to change my username but didn’t get a verification email

I tried to change my username for oculus but when it asked for the verification code sent by email I never got the email. I’ve tried many times over the past like 7 hours. Has anyone else had this? Or an idea of how to deal with it?

Recently, the Oculus team confirmed that they are aware of the annoying bug. But, they are just realizing it, so they will start to look into it, and will share updates on the matter.
