Some O2 UK users unable to access voicemail by dialing 1, 02, or 901 as call disconnects, issue acknowledged

O2 UK is a well-known British telecom service provider. O2 users currently have access to a wide range of products, services, and benefits.

‘Voicemail 901’ is one such service. It assists customers in answering missed calls and notifies them when a new message shows up. It’s available on all new O2 phones.

However, O2 UK customers are having problems with this service since they are unable to access their voicemails (1,2,3,4,5,6).

Some say that whenever they dial 1, 02, or 901 to access their voicemails, the call is disconnected. This keeps taking place repeatedly.

It is really inconveniencing since affected users have no other way of accessing their voicemails and listening to the messages.

This issue seems to have popped up recently and has been affecting O2 UK customers on various smartphone devices.

I currently have a voicemail that i can’t listen to. Everytime i try to call my voicemail (either by holding down 1 or 901) it tries to call then the call gets ended.

Troubleshooting methods like performing a network reset and restarting the smartphone don’t seem to work either.

Fortunately, O2 UK is aware of the voicemail not working issue and has stated that they are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

Until the official fix arrives, we have come across a potential workaround that involves disabling all diverts by dialing ‘##002#’ from your mobile:

We’d recommend for you to disable all your diverts by dialing ##002# from your mobile. Just to make you aware, this will not delete your existing voicemail messages. Once you’ve done this, dial 1750 to set your voicemail back up and let us know if fixes it
