Nintendo Switch has gained immense popularity among gamers worldwide with its unique features and an impressive library of games.

One highly anticipated release on the platform is ‘Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,’ the latest installment in the beloved Legend of Zelda series.

Nintendo Switch Joy-Con & Pro Controller drift issues

However, some players are reporting that they are encountering drift issues when using the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con and Pro controllers. This problem is not new, as Nintendo had previously acknowledged and even apologized for it.

For those unaware, Drift is a term used to describe a problem where the analog sticks on the Nintendo Switch controllers register movement even when the player is not touching them.

Drift issues on the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con and Pro Controller leads to unwanted character movement or changes in camera angles that disrupt the gaming experience, which is obnoxious.

Although Nintendo acknowledged and apologized for the drift issue in the past, their apology primarily focused on the Joy-Con controllers as the issue majorly affected those models.

However, new reports suggest that Pro controllers are also affected by the drift problem. Also, the apology talks about Joy-Con controllers in general and it does not specifically mention ‘Tears of the kingdom’ edition.

And despite the widespread attention and acknowledgment of the issue, the occurrence of drift in newer iterations of the controllers remains troubling.

Unfortunately, there’s no recent acknowledgment from the support team on this matter. Also, there’s currently no available workaround we’ve come across that can help you fix this problem.

However, we will keep an eye on the latest developments and inform you as and when we come across anything noteworthy.
